Abbas Tyrewala, the screenwriter and director was born on 15 th May, 1974 in Mumbai. His films Munna Bhai MBBS in 2003 where he received Filmfare for best dialogues and Maqbool in 2003 where he again received best screenplay GIFA and Zee Cine Awards. His directorial works started from Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa in 2008. He graduated from St. Xavier s College and worked for Ogilvy and Mather PR agency for some years then joined Cinevista. His first work as screenplay was Ashoka in 2001 and Lyrics with Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar in 2000. He married Pakhi.
